I'm afraid to say that due to my busy schedule and lack of exciting things to talk about, I'm taking a break from this website. One of things I personally hate is wasting my time reading dull blogs, and I've come to the realization that mine has become one of them.

My plans are to redesign the website (minus the blog) and to update my gallery with more pictures. I hope to perform this update in the near future, so please do stop by every once in a while and say hello.

I'm back in town, and it's rather depressing as I had a wonderful time seeing friends and old sights in Iceland. The surprise was that it didn't feel foriegn to me this time -- it actually felt like I was in my second home.

I always feel quite weird coming back from an evening flight, knowing that in the morning I was walking along the downtown streets of Reykjavík.

Now that I'm back the weather here in Boston has really warmed up - almost 80 degrees (around 27C) today. I also was greeted with something that I didn't have to deal for almost 3 years -- hay fever.

And so I am safe and sound in Iceland. Visiting here is great... I thought that I would be spending my time here acting more like a tourist, but instead I am finding that I am going about my routine here as if I had never left. I was expecting a lot of changes, but life here has not changed that much since I left. It was quite a spooky feeling walking around the city, knowing what I'd find around every corner.

We had a party at one of my friendīs apartments last night. About 20 people showed up -- most of them friends which I haven't seen in ages. It was good to see all of them again. We stayed around the apartment until about 2 am, then performing the ritual of walking downtown to one of the local bars. Yeah, I miss this place.

Oh yeah, I've also remembered that I should still stay away from tequila.

Well, everything is packed -- at this time tomorrow I'll be off to Iceland for a long weekend. I want to enjoy it, just not too much, since eventually I will have to come home :)

See you on the other side...

p.s. I've had my car for 8 days now without a problem <knocks on wood>

April has some of the craziest $#%@ weather I have ever seen. Yesterday it was sunny and 83F (28 C). Today the temperature was 37 (3 C). From shorts to scarves all in less than 24 hours. No wonder it feels like I'm coming down with a cold.

The car is fine, thank you very much. Although I've driven it only twice since I got it back from the dealership.

I need to externalize more. This evening I went to the laundry room to take my clothes out of the washer to put them in the dryer. There was a woman already in the room when I arrived. As I performed my switcheroo, I tried to make idle chit chat, since that's what I usually do when I'm stuck in a laundry room with another person. I don't think she was a conversationalist, but I did get some strange looks from her for some reason. Ignoring it, I put my quarters in and said good night and walked out.

About an hour later I went to pick up my clothes from the dryer. As I lifted the lid I discovered that my clothes were still soaking wet, as if the dryer had never started. Looking at the machine a little closer, the reason for that woman's wierd glances and why I still had wet underwear were discovered in an instant.

I had placed my laundry into another washer. While I was talking to the woman, she saw me take out my wet clothes from the washer, throw them in another washer (with some fabric softener), put quarters in and leave.

I think I'll let these clothes air dry for a little bit...

In case your wondering, I am not changing the name of this website to "Problems With Tony's Car", although my ranting about my VW for the last month or so may give me good reason. At least I'm not making political statements with it.

I have the car back again. Took it in to my local VW dealership for 40,000-mile maintenance. I am happy that the car is in my possession. I hope that I am not jinxing myself by saying that I may break my record for the longest period of time having the car without something going wrong with it, which currently stands at 3 days. So Friday night I may have something to be really excited about.

The Iceland trip is coming up, and I'm getting excited. I can feel myself soaking in the hottub already.
